One of my biggest passions in life are stickers. I know this sounds kinda lame, but I simply love them. From the most common stickers sold at walmart, to the ones I find in conventions and artist events. I've been collecting them since I remember, I have really old skate brands stickers my brother gave me when I was in elementary school, stickers I bought on stationery stores in Mexico, and stickers given to me by friends. I really coward to stick then in any surface. Because of that, I thought... What if I draw/design the stickers of things I like, and print them whenever I want?
Since then, my passion for designing stickers born. Last year I had the opportunity to attend a convention as an artist, so I started to break my head and drawing and designing. I liked the results a LOT, I made stickers of bows, cake, sweets, eyeballs and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. But I couldn't sell them all. Lots of leftovers. I didn't get back the money I invested, the booth was very expensive and it was a one-day con. BUT, even with all of that, I gained some experience:
-Even if you're passionate about a certain thing, and you want to get money, get in mind not all people will like your stuff. Specially if you don't have ''mainstream'' taste. Maybe if I went to a Kyary Pamyu Pamyu concert, I would have selled them all. (Maybe not hehe idk)
-If your first objective is sell, NOT showing your art, stick (hehe stick) to the latest animu, manga, tv show, trend, etc. You don't need to know everything about the latest anime, just do a little google research before drawing certain characters, mascots or objects.
-Keep in mind you'll start from below. You won't sell EVERYTHING, even big stands who have years attending conventions don't sell everything, and that is just part of bussiness. Try to attend all the cons you can, make people identify with your creations, be creative and original.
I'm writing this specially to boost myself up! I'm attending a convention this july 27th and I still haven't done anything!

To finish, I'll let some of the stickers and drawings I made for that first con
